Online maths games are great for revision and improving fluency with numbers and maths calculations.
Please see some websites below. You may need to teach your child how to use the keyboard and click and drag with the mouse. You will need to help them navigate the site for activities at their level (rather than their year level). Ideally aim for 80% accuracy. If the student makes too many errors they will lose interest or just guess. Although they are designed for children we recommend adult supervision.
In Year 1, students need to be fluent in numbers up to 100. While that doesn't mean they can't work with numbers beyond 100, it means that to establish the building blocks for Maths in later year levels they need to fluent in counting forwards and backwards, skip counting, solving number problems, seeing patterns etc within 100 as a solid foundation for more difficult maths in higher year levels.
By the end of the Year 2, students should be working with numbers up to 1000.
Click on the website in blue. These games are in no particular order.
Smart Boarding School Some students may also be able to make use of the 9-11 year olds Maths page. This website combines games from many websites. Therefore some of the games listed on this Weebly page may also be there too.
